Biella is one of my favourite run of the mill Italian restaurants in Doha. It doesn’t try to be something it isn’t and offers good value quality food, although the price is slightly at the higher end of the market.

Biella has three branches, the one at City centre is the largest, however the one in the Mall is my favourite as it doesn’t feel like your in a mall and also the chef there I believe is the best.

The prices need a tiny bit of adjustment, to bring them closer to what one would expect from a mall chain, but with decent service and hearty portions, we almost forgive them. With the many venues and constantly updated menu, it’s not haute cuisine, yet it’s still tasty. Offering Italian basics like pastas and salads, plus pizzas and sandwiches at lunch, there are lighter offerings alongside items smothered in cheese, and it’s a great spot for lunch that’s better than a mall burger. There’s also loads of options to keep kiddie palates happy, and the relaxed atmosphere means you don’t have to worry about bringing the tiny tots to the table.
